Lake Wylie Elementary School is serves students in PK-5th grade in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our school is rich in history and community. We are fortunate to have strong community partnerships that support our school.  They are always willing to donate their time and financial resources towards the needs of our students and staff.

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are riding a massive wave of momentum, and we cannot wait to see what our amazing students, staff, and families will achieve together this year.

We continue to celebrate the accomplishments of our school community. Thanks to the hard work of our educators and students, our school increased its NC Report Card grade from a 56 to a 64 for the 2024-2025 school year! Even better? Our Pirates officially Exceeded Expected Growth in Reading, Math, and Science. We are incredibly proud of this academic surge, and are anxious awaiting our Official data for the 2025-2026 school year. We remain dedicated to keeping that upward trajectory going as we begin the 2026-2027 school year.

Education is a team sport, and we want you right there on the sidelines (and in the bleachers) with us. This year, we are packing the calendar with fantastic opportunities for family engagement.

Student-Led Talent Show: From magic tricks to music, our students are taking the reins to showcase their unique gifts.
