Meet Ms. Leslie Nixon - Assistant Principal

Greetings, Lake Wylie Families!

My name is Leslie Nixon, and I am honored and excited to serve as the Assistant Principal at Lake Wylie Elementary School. I am passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

I believe strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community are the foundation of a thriving school. I am committed to supporting high-quality instruction, promoting student growth, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I look forward to partnering with our school community to make this an exceptional year of learning and success.
I am a proud Charlotte, North Carolina native and a graduate of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for elementary, middle, and high school. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Birth–Kindergarten Education from Winston-Salem State University and my Master of Educational Leadership from Queens University of Charlotte. I bring to this role 10 years of experience as an early elementary educator, Dean of Culture & Instruction, and Dean of Students.
When I am not at school, I thoroughly enjoy shopping, exercising, and spending time with my family and friends.
